LogikEssentials
Essential tools.A clearer view.
Four purpose tools built on the same Logik filtering and smoothing logic. Read trend, momentum, price extension, and trend strength with smooth and step-based views.
- One shared foundation: filter, smooth, and step
- Four focused indicators for different market questions
- Configurable settings for your chart analysis
LogikAverageExtreme
The foundation of LogikEssentials. LogikAverageExtreme filters and smooths your input into an adjustable average, then offers a step function for a different view of trend direction. Add optional price bands and choose the chart view that fits your analysis.
- Define your trend. Tune the period, Fine Adjust, and minimum tick change; reference the prior bar or the average’s turning point.
- Add price context. Configure up to three band levels using standard deviations or fixed tick offsets.
- Choose your perspective. Use a smooth or stepped average, source another timeframe, or switch to oscillator mode with optional inversion.
- Make changes visible. Customize trend colors, bar coloring, direction markers, and sound or NinjaTrader alerts.
LogikMomentum
See how the faster Logik average is moving relative to the slower one. LogikMomentum turns that separation into a focused view of momentum, with a smoothed signal line and a histogram showing the difference.
- Read the relationship. Positive and negative values show which baseline is above the other.
- Follow the change. Compare momentum with its smoothed signal and histogram.
- Set your pace. Adjust fast, slow, and signal periods, Fine Adjust, and the neutral threshold.
Smooth baselines
Compare two filtered and smoothed averages.
Step baselines
Compare the fast and slow step outputs; the oscillator signal remains smoothed.
Display values in ATR multiples or ticks. Calculated on closed bars.
LogikDeviation
Put price extension into perspective. LogikDeviation measures the distance between your input and the selected Logik average baseline, making it easier to see when price is close to its reference or moving farther away.
- Read either side. Positive values sit above the baseline; negative values sit below it.
- Define extension. Set an adjustable threshold for upper, lower, and central zones.
- Choose your scale. Express distance in ATR multiples or ticks.
Smooth baseline
Measure distance from the filtered and smoothed average.
Step baseline
Measure distance from the average’s step output.
An extension reading describes distance; it does not guarantee a reversal. Calculated on closed bars.
LogikTrendStrength
Separate how strongly the average is moving from which way it is moving. LogikTrendStrength measures the magnitude of the smoothed average’s slope per bar, with direction available alongside it.
- Measure the slope. Strength stays nonnegative while signed slope preserves direction.
- Set a meaningful minimum. Adjust the lookback and strength threshold for your analysis.
- Add step confirmation. Require the slope direction to agree with the retained step direction.
Smooth direction
Read the direction of the smooth slope once it exceeds your minimum strength.
Step confirmation
Keep the smooth strength measurement and show neutral direction when slope and step disagree.
A flat step retains its last direction. Strength can stay elevated even when confirmed direction is neutral. Values use ATR multiples or ticks; calculated on closed bars.
